Woman confessed to police she was 'scared' of her son before he allegedly murdered her at a beachside holiday park in Coffs Harbour.
A woman allegedly murdered by her son at a beachside holiday park told police she was 'scared' of him before she was left with extensive facial injuries.
Zachary Mills, from Coffs Harbour on New South Wales' Mid North Coast, was arrested by Queensland Police officers at Park Ridge at about 10am on Sunday.
The 30-year-old appeared before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, where NSW Police successfully applied for an extradition order.
Mills was extradited to NSW where police were told Christine Mills, 58, had died in Coffs Harbour Base Hospital as a result of facial injuries at 12.30pm on Monday.
He was charged with murder DV at Tweed Heads Police Station.
It's understood Ms Mills have significant mobility issues due to a spinal injury and previously told police she was 'scared' of her son, The Age reported.
She also told police she was worried her son was stealing money from her.
Mills appeared at Tweed Heads Local Court on Tuesday where documents revealed he allegedly severely injured Ms Mills on Wednesday, October 2.

Police were called to the Big 4 Park Beach Holiday Park, Coffs Harbour, about 5.25pm that night and discovered 58-year-old Christine Mills with facial injuries
Police were called to the Big 4 Park Beach Holiday Park on Ocean Parade, Coffs Harbour, about 5.25pm and discovered Ms Mills with facial injuries.
Police were told a man, alleged to be Mills, had left the property before officers arrived.
Ms Mills was rushed to hospital for treatment but died five days later.
The last AVO she sought against her son was issued in June and barred him from seeing his mother for 12 hours after he had been drinking alcohol or doing drugs.
Mills was also banned from stalking, harassing, intimidating, assaulting or threatening Ms Mills, or damaging her property.
It's understood his father and ex-partner also had AVOs against him.
The alleged attack occurred at the Big 4 Park Beach Holiday Park in Coffs Harbours.
Mills is further charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to Ms Mills, and with twice breaching an apprehended domestic violence order on September 30 and October 2 in Coffs Harbour.
Documents tendered to Tweed Heads Local Court on Tuesday alleged the 30-year-old murdered Ms Mills between 5pm and 5.30pm on October 2.
It's understood police issued a warrant for Mills' arrest the first time he allegedly breached the apprehended domestic violence order on September 30.
He was remanded in custody and will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on December 10.
